The first release on Hot Pockets is an interpretation of that classic American standard ‘Love Lockdown’ as performed by Nottingham based artist Line, better known to both his mum and the taxman as Neil Wells.
The result of a particularly vigorous bonding session between Slutty Fringe and Neil over the merits of Mr West’s rarely heard original, it was decided that music history must be rewritten and so Neil was packed off to his studio to pay tribute to the track with a sensitive modern update.
Released on glorious 7″ red vinyl and distributed as a free download, the track is perfect for both nights of riotous dance floor celebration and tear-stained self love in under-heated bedsits.
Line’s cover of ‘Love Lockdown’ will surely stand the test of time as one of electronic music’s finest 3 minutes and possibly herald in a new era of world peace, something Slutty Fringe would be delighted to take most of the credit for.

Line is 30 year old Neil Wells. Born in Brighton, raised in Germany and now a resident of Nottingham, where he studied Philosophy and quantum physics. Over the years Neil has been a member of bands such as Husband, Seachange and Savoy Grand, before pursuing a solo career as Line, where he can fully explore his obsession with techno and electronic music.
His releases on the Uncharted Audio label have been declared ‘Killer’, ‘Awesome’ and ‘Brilliant’ by people that know a thing or two about electronic music, we would tend to agree.
